Gabi was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She received a Bachelors in Organismal Biology and Ecology with a minor in Human Biology and Kinesiology from Colorado College. She then went to medical school and decided to leave after her first year to explore other careers. Before coming to Blue Ridge, Gabi had experience in outdoor education with college recreation programs and summer camps. Gabi started as a field staff in the summer of 2022 and began working in the medical department in June 2023.

As Medical Coordinator, Gabi is the primary point of contact for families and students about medical and health concerns. She serves as the liaison for the medical director, Dr. Dowis, and coordinates doctor's appointments and first aid. Gabi’s favorite part of the job is visiting the groups each week for health checks and monthly Doctor's Visits.

In her free time Gabi enjoys yoga, knitting, hiking and skiing.
