Olivia Fiatoa
Alumni Relations Coordinator
Background & Experience
Olivia grew up in Levittown, Pennsylvania, and earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from West Chester University. She began her career at a nonprofit organization supporting families experiencing homelessness, where she served for three years. She later joined the City of Philadelphia as a family empowerment social worker, further deepening her commitment to family systems work. Olivia discovered a passion for integrating the outdoors into social and emotional learning while facilitating experiential, hands-on programs for an educational consulting company focused on life skills and self-esteem development. This experience sparked her interest in the benefits of wilderness therapy and ultimately led her to Blue Ridge.
Olivia began her journey at Blue Ridge in May 2022 as a Field Instructor, where she quickly recognized the program’s commitment to whole-child care and family systems work. She was drawn to the organization’s mission-driven culture and high standards of care. In April 2023, she was promoted to Senior Field Instructor and received the Ember Award from the Outdoor Behavioral Health Council in recognition of her outstanding contributions. In 2024, Olivia transitioned into the role of Field Recruiter and Alumni Relations Coordinator, continuing to support the program through outreach and community engagement.
