About Heather
Growing up in the wetlands of central Florida, Heather has always understood the value of nature. She earned a degree in Geology from the University of South Florida and has spent time doing research around the country. Heather arrived at Blue Ridge in the spring of 2021. Through her 3 years of working in the field directly with students, Heather has developed a personal approach to the work focused around empowering students through healthy boundaries and unconditional positive regard. In her present role as Field Director, Heather is committed to ensuring all staff embody Blue Ridge’s company values and provide the highest quality care for our students. With a mind for policies and systems, Heather works actively to improve the ways in which Blue Ridge treats all its clients with dignity and respect. Heather is a steadfast leader in the company, continually striving for excellence in the field department.
Heather has a particular passion for encouraging art, music, and creative expression from students as a way to form healthy habits and stay regulated. She can often be seen sporting bright colors and a calm, cool, collected attitude.
