Personal Approach

I’ve spent most of my adult life living in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina and Georgia, and I have developed a deep connection to this area and remain in awe of the magic of these mountains. I discovered Blue Ridge Therapeutic Wilderness in 2014 and began my wilderness journey working as a field instructor here— I was immediately amazed and continue to be inspired by the growth and transformation that occurs with our students in the field. Throughout my time with Blue Ridge, I facilitated the Transition program for students and their families at the conclusions of their stay and also worked closely with Anne Wilzbacher and Emerald Arrow during my graduate program. I am excited to continue my passion for wilderness therapy as Family Therapist, working alongside young adult families in the Emerald Arrow program.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking and backpacking in the area with my partner and our dog, as well as gardening and ongoing attempts to learn the guitar. I look forward to supporting you and your family during your time with us!
